I hear this a lot!
People comparing my clients to other clients and noticing that my clients have not only better muscle tone and are being leaner, but also have more refined abs!
16 % body fat can look different on each person!
You should see separation of muscle, tightness (not moving muscle) and a nice refined midsection 🙂
16% on a Endurance Athlete will look different than 16% on a body building client!
We are developing a different body!
The first 4 weeks out of a 12 week program will increase muscle tone and muscle density….
Workouts will be challenging weight wise, have lower reps but perfect form, done very slow and controlled (timing 3-3-3)!
There will be a rest period in between to increase natural testosterone production
(Yes, women have testosterone as well) !
Diets are still higher in carbohydrates as well as protein and some good fats to help feed the muscle!
Remember that if you don’t feed your muscle, it won’t matter how heavy you lift!
You will not be able to build anything ….
This first month gives you a chance to increase water intake to one gallon per day.
Water will help flush out waist product, delivers oxygen to all your cells, helps build muscle by increasing water retention inside the muscle fiber, speeds up your metabolism, helps with digestion, gives your skin a healthy glow, lubricates your joints even your spine, and so much more….
By the end of week 4 you should be about 85% perfect on your diet with the occasional treat 🙂
What you will feel:
First two weeks you will have some flu like symptoms …
That’s because your body is going through detox and is removing garbage out of your system!
After that you will feel a increase in energy, strength, and endurance!
After the first week you will realize that your clothes feels not as tight because of the excess water we hold when eating larger amounts of sugar and carbohydrates or salty foods.
Nobody needs excess water retention 🙂
After 4 weeks you will have lost a good amount of weight if you have stuck to the program .
You are now starting to see changes and feeling your body reshaping 🙂
These changes will be mostly visible to you, your friends and family will take until probably week 6-8 to notice a difference!
If you are consistent with your food and workouts you can lose up to 30 pounds of fat in a 12 week program!
Consistency is the key 😉

I finally can say that I am ready to start my own journey!
Yesterday was 100% on diet, water intake, and exercise 🙂
I will have to lose about 15-20 pounds until February 9th, which will be no problem for me.
Food preparation is number one key to this!
Never run out of food!!!
You can always freeze left overs…
Always keep enough water at home to prevent going to the store!
Don’t keep sweets and snacks around…
I am married to a bad snacker that keeps cookies and chocolate around!
Once I am focused I have to sit my husband down and ask for his support 😉
If your family wants snacks, ask them to shop themselves and not tell you .
Once it’s in your mind its belly down from there!!!
Tell them to hide snacks and to eat them when you are not around !
They will also have to discard the trash concealed (lol)!
Humans are addicted to all kinds of things.
Sugar and salt are included in these addictions!!!
I know it will take me about 6weeks until I don’t want any of this stuff anymore!
By then my husband can eat whatever he wants right in front of me and it won’t have any affect on me 🙂
Keeping high stressors away is another trick I have!
I am scheduling day by day!
During the week I won’t have much time to do anything since my work starts at 6am and finishes around 7pm with a 2 hour window for lunch, shower and a 15min nap 😉
Keeping easy to crab food is important!
Protein shakes, egg white pancakes, BCAA’s and L-Glutamine in water just in case I don’t get to eat (which happens )!
Scheduling my workouts…
I never give away my time to work out!!!
Training back to back I will need that one hour in between to work out.
My workout gets my endorphins going and refreshes me to continue …
Mental attitude 🙂
I always focus on the end product, not what I can not have or what I am deprived of.
Don’t tell yourself how exhausted you are …
Praise yourself for being good and sticking to the plan 🙂
Keep away from people that want to sabotage your goals!
Sometimes you have to change your circle of friends.
This is not about them, it is about you 🙂
Look at short term goals before focusing on long term goals!
” this week I have lost 2 pounds”
” I went down 1 dress size”
” my clothes is feeling loser”
Change takes time, so don’t get discouraged!!!
And remember that crazy binges will throw you back pounds of fat!!!

Opinions differ on what to look for…
Sometimes we sit in the audience in a Competition and wonder why somebody would be place before a person that looks better in our opinion!
In Bikini judges want to see round muscle bellies but no extreme separation of muscles or striations .
You should not go much under 15 % body fat but stay tight at the same time!
Round shoulders, but no big V in the back . Tinny waist , nice high and round gluteus, full quads and hamstrings, but nothing bulky!
In Figure you can have a little more muscle and be a tap leaner, but no single digit numbers!!!
Watch vascularity because judges don’t like to see that!
Nice lines and separation of muscles, tightness and full round muscle bellies!
Nice V in the back, small waist, big full quads with lines, tight gluteus!
If you are to square, you need to build your quads and lats to appear more symmetric!
Physique is a small version of body building!
A tap bigger that Figure but no striations here either!
You can go into the single digit as long as you don’t lose your femininity 🙂
Body building is the old fashion version of competing!
Lots of muscle, symmetry, striations, vascularity and more masculine appearance!
Men’s Physique is different from men’s Body Building!
Judges are looking for surfer type guys!
Smaller, athletic but more gymnast types!
No extreme V !!!
Separation but no vascularity!
Striations are out!!!
If you don’t place you are probably to big, have to work on stage performance as smile, stand upright, keep your head high, confidence, and personality on stage!
Remember you need to stand out from the person next to you!!!
Keep smiling no matter how tired you are 😉
Men’s Bodybuilding is the old fashion version of competing!!!
Lowest body fat, symmetry, striations, most extreme diets!!!
You need to look like a anatomical drawing 😉
As in all of these categories you need to work on posing!!!
You can hide flaws or bring out assets to your physique!
Number one is always confidence!!!
Don’t skip posing practice because you think you know it all…
Timing can be changed and freak you out (like last Saturday where you got cut first to 10seconds and then to 6 seconds)
Remember that no matter how you’ve placed, you will always be a winner!!!

Today’s schedule will be :
4:45 am set up for make up and tan at my house
5am airbrush tan touch ups are starting
5:15am Carrie, Kim, and Angela are starting make up
7am Mervat finished Airbrush tan to rush back and finish clients at her place of business …
8am going to meeting at Cashman
9:30am I will be starting to glaze everyone and glue their suits
10:30am prejudging
About 1:30pm lunch
Competitors go home and rest up for the night show
5pm check in for Competitors
6:30pm night show starting
It will be another long and successful day 🙂

Today will also be my last day as LVFB Team!
I have worked extremely hard in these last years to create the most beautiful bodies!
Some of you might have not gotten lots of emails and messages from me, but that’s because I have always been the one training and designing personalized diets (which is my passion), and Angela has been the one promoting (which is her passion)!
I am looking forward to an amazing future!

Everyday great things are happening in my life that ensure me that I am on the right track!!!!
God is leading me into a amazing new life, new beginning!
Team Vegas will be the most successful Team with the most amazing Competitors 🙂
Many of the past clients are now coming back to train with me.
I will have more Physique Competitors!
I will keep classes on a set number especially at 5:45pm
