Everyone has their preverance on which muscle groups to combine!
Most people might use the old Weider principle which combines one larger and one smaller muscle group!
For example you would train Back and Biceps on Mondays, Chest and Triceps on Tuesdays, and Legs and Shoulders on Wednesdays!
As you may know we work a great amount of biceps by training back muscles already, so it seams to be logical to train both of the together!
We also train a good amount of triceps as we are working on our chest area, which makes it obvious to train those two at the same time!
I am using a guess on why to combine shoulders and Legs , just because I have been doing that lately to increase my overall caloric and carbohydrate intake on that specific day 🙂
We have also been using Arnold Schwarzenaeckers principal to train opposite muscles together…
Back and Chest, Biceps and Triceps ( and Shoulders), legs!
The reason why Arnold used this method was to keep blood flow in specific areas!
More blood flow , more nutrience being delivered, more muscle gain…
Sometimes you may want to concentrate on one area for one day…
It doesn’t really matter!!!
There is no right and no wrong.
You just want to switch it and change it around to make your body respond better 😉
Keeping the body from adapting is the key…
And our body is smart and learns fast!!!
So keep it going!
Change the workout…
Change weight/ reps…
Change muscle groups your combining…
Switch it up any way you can!
Doing the same thing over and over will keep you from reaching your goal!

Before & After Body Composition

Before I decided to join Angela and Claudia’s Group Figure and Bikini Training, I attempted SEVERAL diets. Pretty much every crash diet imaginable. It even became sort of a joke among friends to say, “What diet is Olivia doing now?!” I even tried good ol’ working out and (what I thought was) healthy eating. However, I would work my butt off with no change…I even watched my weight climb back up!

So, here I was 26 lbs. heavier after dropping 40 lbs. on HCG. Fatter than ever…no hope…almost accepting that this was how I was going to live the rest of my life….blood pressure meds, too tired to play with my 2 young daughters…not exactly the role model I was expecting. At my lowest weight (post kids), I was still embarrassed to wear tight clothing. I was skinny fat. Muffin top. Jelly belly…you name it! On top of all of this, I knew that I had a very unhealthy relationship with food.

Then, I stumbled upon a picture….I never knew how much that picture would impact my life. What picture you ask???? It was the advertisement for Angela and Claudia’s 12 week transformation. I carried the LVAC magazine (which still sits on my nightstand for motivation) with me for about a week before calling. I spoke to Angela to get the details and knew right away that I had to find any way possible to get in that gym and get with these girls….I just knew there was something amazing there!!!

This whole journey has completely flipped my life around. I’ve learned how to eat properly and enjoy….YES, enjoy it! I’ve learned how to work-out (and not feel intimidated by fit people in the gym). I’ve learned to watch my body shrink instead of getting hung up on the numbers on the scale. Most importantly, I was becoming the role model that I wanted to be for my girls.

Not only did I find a community that accepts me, encourages me, and challenges me, but I found new goals….better goals. Although I know that I have so much more that I want to achieve, I am going to also take the time to enjoy all the steps this far. I look forward to…and completely trust my trainers…and my new extended family to help me become my best!!! It’s wonderful to know that I have all this….from my 12 week transformation!!! Angela and Claudia ROCK!!

Honestly there is none!
I used to think that I could eat whatever I like, but ending up in gaining 20-25 pounds between competitions!!!
Years ago I’ve even tried to bulk up while eating the wrong foods and ended up 35 pounds heavier…
So after losing 45 pounds I realized I wasn’t any more masculine than before!
Yes, you can bulk up on clean foods and gain some muscle.
You will have to do this slow and consistent 😉
However you can’t get of clean eating in your off season….
Don’t expect while you are on the beer and pizza diet to come back and get into tip top competition stage in a short period of time….
I’ve talked to Competition Judges so many times, and all of them will tell you the same thing:
It is MOST IMPORTANT what you do in your off season!!!
More so than what you are doing on your 4-8- or 12 week program!
How you train, and especially what you eat and how you supplement!
Your body will get better each and every time, but you can not get of clean eating and training and expecting a magic pill!!!
YOU are responsible for YOUR body!
Plain and simple!
